Aurangabad: A 22-year-old girl has committed suicide by jumping into the Godavari river. The young woman had jumped into the river while posting her status on WhatsApp. Two days later, her decomposed body was found at Kayagaon. Divya Anil Dande (Ra. Babargaon, Tal. Gangapur) is the name of the deceased girl.
According to police, Divya Dande was divorced. She was running a beauty parlor business with her parents in Gangapur. She fell in love with one of her children. But a few days ago, her boyfriend died in a two-wheeler accident. Divya has been under mental stress ever since. She has been missing since June 9. Divya’s disappearance was reported by relatives.
After receiving a complaint from her relatives, the police started searching for her. Later, fishermen in Kayagaon found the body of a young woman floating in the water and informed the police about the incident. Police rushed to the spot, with the help of villagers, pulled the body out of the river and called her relatives to identify the lights from the missing report. Meanwhile, an autopsy was carried out by the river as the bodies were in a decomposing state. Divya’s funeral was also held there at the request of relatives. A sudden death has been registered at Gangapur police station in this case.
