Akot city police on Thursday arrested Adv. Gunaratna Sadavarte and his wife Jayashree were interrogated for three and a half hours on Thursday. Akot police had on April 11 registered a case against Ajay Gujar and Prafulla Gawande along with Sadavarte couple. Against this backdrop, Sadavarte has targeted Sharad Pawar. ‘Crimes have been deliberately filed across the state to harass me. What exactly is the case?
Gunaratna Sadavarte and three others are accused of fraudulently collecting Rs 300-400 each from about 74,000 ST employees at the expense of court proceedings. Vijay Malokar, State Working President of Maharashtra ST Workers Union lodged a complaint in this regard. A case was registered with the Akot city police on this basis. On April 21, the Akot court granted him regular bail. The Sadavarte couple was summoned for questioning on Thursday. The two were interrogated in the room of Akot police constable Prakash Ahire.
