The incident took place at 11 pm on Monday when a worker poured petrol on a woman running a ladies tailoring shop and set her on fire. The woman running the shop was seriously injured in the incident. The accused also sustained serious injuries while trying to burn the woman. He died at midnight while undergoing treatment at the hospital. The woman died at around 11.30 am this morning. A friend of the accused who rushed to the rescue of the woman was also seriously injured. In this case, Chandannagar police has registered a case of attempted murder (302) against the accused.

The accused tried to burn Bala Noya Journey (age 32), who runs AT to Z Ladies Tailoring shop. The woman is originally from Orissa and lived in Wadgaon Sheri. Milind Govindrao Nathsagar (35), a shop worker, tried to burn the woman by pouring petrol on her. It has come to light that the accused worker poured petrol on the woman out of anger over her dismissal. The women were 90 percent burnt. She too died today after the death of the accused.

The incident took place near Ramchandra Hall in Somnath Nagar on Wadgaon Street in Pune. It was initially reported that the tailoring shop had caught fire. The fire was brought under control by the locals before the fire brigade reached the spot. Three persons were killed in the incident. Two injured men and a woman were admitted to the hospital. Preliminary information was received that the man died in the night.
