Big news: Farmers’ agitation in Punatamba postponed for now, positive discussion with Agriculture Minister

Ahmednagar: Today is the fourth day of the farmers’ agitation in Puntamba. Agriculture Minister Dada Bhuse came to Pune and discussed with the farmers. The demands made by the farmers are related to different departments. Therefore, a meeting of ministers and officials related to all these departments will be held in Mumbai on Tuesday (June 7), assured Bhuse. Accepting the invitation of this meeting, the farmers have immediately suspended the ongoing agitation and the next decision will be taken after the meeting on Tuesday. Dhananjay Dhanwate has said.

Farmers in Punatamba had started agitation from June 1. The dams were to be held daily till June 5. Today, on the fourth day, Agriculture Minister Bhuse came to Pune and discussed with the farmers. Every demand was considered in a long discussion. These demands relate to various departments in the government. Therefore, it has been decided to hold a joint meeting in Mumbai on this issue. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 7 with the ministers and senior officials of the concerned departments in the presence of the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. Farmers’ leaders in Punatamba have also been invited for this. This solution was also accepted by the agitating farmers. The ongoing agitation has also been postponed till Tuesday’s meeting. The next decision will be taken after the meeting on Tuesday.

What did the Agriculture Minister say?

Minister Bhuse said, “The state government is positive about these demands. A meeting will be held with the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister in this regard. By discussing it, the questions that can be sorted out immediately will be asked. Other issues will be taken up with the concerned authorities and the central government.

Meanwhile, Shirdi MP Sadashiv Lokhande and Raosaheb Khevre were also present at the meeting. Sarpanch Dr. Protesting farmers including Dhananjay Dhanwate, Dhananjay Jadhav, Suhas Vahadne, Raosaheb Khevre participated in the discussion.
