Sumit Antil, Yogesh Kathuniya’s World Record in National Para Athletics Championships

New Delhi : Javelin thrower Samit Antil and Kathuniya in discus thrower set world records at the ongoing National Para Athletics Championships in Bangalore.

Tokyo Paralympic champion javelin thrower Sumit Antil and silver medalist discus thrower Yogesh Kathunia set new world records at the ongoing 4th Indian Open National Para Athletics Championship at the Sri Kantirwa Stadium here on Friday.
Sumit threw the javelin at a record distance of 68.62 meters in his competition and created a new world record. The 24-year-old para athlete had set a world record of 68.55m in the F64 category at the Tokyo Games last year. He also broke the world record three times in six attempts. On the other hand, Yogesh set a new world record in the discus throw category with an effort of 48.34m.
