- Father-in-law killed; Serious son with mother
Satara: Some members of a family from Maan taluka were traveling in a four-wheeler for Devdarshan when a tragic accident took place at Kavthemahankal. Two people were killed and a mother and son were seriously injured in the accident. The accident took place on Monday afternoon when the car hit the back of a truck parked on the road.
It is the dream of a young man in a normal family to have a four-wheeler. Swapnil Pawar from Kalaskarwadi in Maan taluka had bought a new car a few days back. The car was worshiped on Monday and Sapnil left for Devdarshan with his parents and cousins. The Pawar family first visited Bhavani Mata at Tuljapur and Vithuraya at Pandharpur. After that everyone went to see Jyotiba. However, after reaching Kavthemahankal, driver Swapnil lost control and the car hit a truck parked on the road.
Swapnil Pawar’s father Anandrao Shivram Pawar (age 68) died on the spot in this horrific accident. Also injured cousin Manik Sahebrao Pawar (age 58) died on the way to the hospital. Swapnil and his mother were also critically injured in the accident and are currently undergoing treatment at a hospital. Meanwhile, mourning over the accidental death of two members of the Pawar family has spread in Kalaskarwadi village.
