Mumbai: With the local body elections approaching, all the political parties have started moving. After MNS president Raj Thackeray took the role of aggressive Hindutva, various BJP leaders met Raj Thackeray and discussions have started on a possible alliance between the two parties. Similarly, it has come to light that NCP and Shivsena Ncp Alliance have started agitating to contest the forthcoming elections together.

It is understood that the Chief Minister of the state and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray had a discussion with NCP President Sharad Pawar about the alliance in the local body elections (Sharad Pawar Uddhav Thackeray Meeting News). Sources said that Shiv Sena and NCP have decided to come together to stop the BJP from attacking the state government. The alliance is being discussed between the two parties and no final decision has been taken yet.

Will the minds of the workers be united if there is an alliance?

This year elections will be held for many big Municipal Corporations in the state including Mumbai, Pune and Nashik. If the NCP and Shiv Sena fight this election together, the party leadership is now speculating on whether the minds of the workers of both the parties will agree. Because both the Shiv Sena and the NCP have traditionally been political opponents of each other. At the local level, there have been frequent clashes between activists of both parties. Therefore, it is understood that discussions are going on about whether the views of both the parties will turn towards each other if there is an alliance.

Congress alone?

Since Nana Patole accepted the post of Congress state president in Maharashtra, the party has taken on the role of ‘Ekla Chalo Re’. We will fight the Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections on our own, Nana Patole and other Congress leaders have made it clear many times before. That is why it has come to light that NCP and Shiv Sena have started efforts for an alliance excluding the Congress which is a constituent party of the Mahavikas Alliance. Meanwhile, the BJP has said that an alliance with Raj Thackeray is possible if the MNS changes its stance on foreigners. Therefore, it will be interesting to see what political equations are formed in the state before the forthcoming municipal elections.
