Relief to Somaiya father and son in INS Vikrant case, but investigation will continue

BJP leader Kirit Somaiya and his son Nil Somaiya got relief from the Bombay High Court in the INS Vikrant case. The bail application has been disposed of. Somaiya has to be told 72 hours before the arrest. The Mumbai Police told the court that they have not found any evidence about this scam. Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, who is in custody in the letter case, had leveled serious allegations against Kirit Somaiya and his son in the INS Vikrant fund collection case. Today the court gave relief to Somaiya in this case. Mumbai Police has submitted to the High Court that no evidence of financial fraud has been found so far. However, the High Court has ordered the police to give 72 hours notice before arresting Kirit and Neil Somaiya. High Court has disposed of Somaiya’s pre-arrest bail petition by giving this order.

However, the High Court has issued another summons to Somaiya in this case. Mumbai Police is going to issue a new summons to appear before the Mumbai Police for questioning in this case. Therefore, Kirit Somaiya will be re-examined on August 17 and Neil Somaiya on August 18 in the INS Vikrat case.

What is the matter?

Kirit Soumayya had launched a mission to save INS Vikrant. Kirit Soumaya had collected money to keep INS Vikrant in the state. He had collected money for this. But the collected money did not reach the Governor’s office, the information was revealed in the RTI. RTI activist Upadhyay sought the information from the Governor’s office. It was clarified from the Raj Bhavan that no such money was received.

Former soldier Baban Bhimrao Bhosale has filed a complaint in this case. An application has been filed against Kirit Somaiah, Nil Somaiah and their other accomplices. In order to save the warship INS Vikrant, it has been accused of embezzling crores. Somaiya has been accused of collecting funds when he was an MP in 2013. Kirit Somaiya has cheated the nation and the people. Therefore, Baban Bhosle has demanded to file a case against Kirit and Nil Somaiya, father and son along with their accomplices.

INS Vikrant, a decommissioned aircraft carrier from the Indian Navy, was auctioned for Rs 60 crore. The warship ‘INS Vikrant’ played an important role in the Indo-Pakistani war of 1971. The Maharashtra government had already shown its inability to maintain “INS Vikrant”, which was commissioned into the Navy in 1961. It was demanded that this warship should be converted into a museum without auctioning ‘INS Vikrant’. IB Commercial Pvt Ltd bought INS Vikrant for Rs 60 crores in the auction process.
