“The Devendra Era of Development” for Pimpri-Chinchwad!

Massive “Branding” Campaign by BJP MLA Mahesh Landge in the City

Various Development Projects to be Inaugurated Tomorrow in the Presence of the Chief Minister

Pimpri-Chinchwad | A series of development projects and public infrastructure works undertaken by the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) will be inaugurated and have their foundation stones laid by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday, June 18. Ahead of the event, BJP MLA Mahesh Landge has launched an aggressive “branding” campaign across the city under the banner “The Devendra Era of Development.”

A much-anticipated project—the inauguration of a sculpture ensemble depicting the meeting of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Namdev Maharaj, located at Charholi on the revered Dehu–Alandi palkhi route, will be unveiled by Chief Minister Fadnavis. In addition, the tallest 200-foot saffron flag and the Sant Srushti project will also be inaugurated.

Present at the occasion will be Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, Deputy Speaker of the Assembly Anna Bansode, MLAs Shankar Jagtap, Uma Khapre, Amit Gorkhe, PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh, Police Commissioner Vineet Kumar Chaubey, Additional Commissioners Pradeep Jambhale-Patil, Vijaykumar Khorate, and Trupti Sandbhor, among others.

In addition, the following projects will be launched

  • At the Paduka Temple in Vadmukhwadi, development of the Sant Srushti (Saints’ Universe).

  • At Talegaon-Chikhli, inauguration of Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj Santhipath’s hall and rooms.

  • Plantation drive of 1.5 lakh indigenous trees.

  • Launch of “Jyeshthanubandh” app for senior citizens and “Traffic Buddy” WhatsApp service for traffic regulation by the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate.


Foundation Stones to be Laid for the Following Projects

  • A 12-meter DP service road adjacent to the Expressway, from Mukai Chowk Krishna Hotel to Lodha Scheme in Ward No. 16.

  • 18-meter DP road behind Symbiosis College, from Bapdev Temple to Expressway via Kiwale village.

  • Road asphalting at the main road in Vikasnagar, Ward 16.

  • Urban street-scaping of the road from Gavlimatha to Indrayani Nagar Chowk.

  • Mapping for differently-abled citizens to be initiated.


The Following Projects Will Be Inaugurated

  • Loop-ramp constructed to facilitate access from Sant Mother Teresa flyover toward Chinchwad.

  • Thergaon-Chinchwad bridge built on the Pawna river beside Prasundham in Ward No. 50 on an 18-meter DP road.

  • Climbing wall constructed at Pimple Saudagar for mountaineering.

  • School building constructed on Reservation No. 2/122 at Dighi, Ward No. 4.

  • Fire station building built at Chovisawadi in Charholi, Ward No. 3.

  • Primary school building at Bhosari, Ward No. 7.

  • Central sterilization departments at hospitals in Thergaon and Bhosari.

  • Multistorey parking structure at Sakhubai Gabaji Gawli Garden in Ward No. 5.


Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has always taken a positive and supportive stance toward the sustainable development of Pimpri-Chinchwad city. Issues like the city’s water supply, the development of merged villages, and the enhancement of basic infrastructure and civic amenities have been actively addressed. Consequently, Pimpri-Chinchwad is now being recognized as one of the fastest-growing cities.

Since 2014, the BJP-led Mahayuti government has continuously driven the city’s progress. The projects being inaugurated and launched today are proof of this commitment. Our aim is to establish the city as a model of sustainable development.
