Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation got the first rank in the category of administrative speed and best idea of the state government. Former BJP leader Namdev Dhake has criticized the state government in the ruling Mahavikas Aghadi party for showing ‘mirror’ to the NCP office bearers who alleged that no development work was done during the BJP’s tenure.
In this regard, the journalist Dhake said that Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has won the first place in the Rajiv Gandhi Administration Key Speed Campaign in the year 2021-22 in the category of Administrative Speed and Best Ideas. In the office management, adoption of modern concepts and procedures, e-governance, people oriented office, the corporation has been at the forefront. The state government has announced a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh, a badge of honor and a certificate. This is a matter of pride for the people of Pimpri-Chinchwad.
NCP ruled Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation for 20 years. However, pro-people works were not carried out. Therefore, the citizens of the city made a change of power in 2017. After handing over the management of the city to the Bharatiya Janata Party, the BJP functionaries not only gave independence to the administration but also took positive decisions to enhance the quality of services, public orientation and decision making.
During the BJP rule, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has adopted new concepts and procedures in administrative work. Besides, people oriented office has been managed and various facilities have been made available to the citizens through e-governance. That is why the work of NMC has become the first in the state, for which it has got the first prize. This has been possible only due to the participation and contribution of the citizens, said Dhake.
Accusers should reflect: Dhake
The development work during the BJP era and the service rendered to the people during the Kovid era is remarkable in the state. However, local office bearers of the Nationalist Congress Party are criticizing the BJP on the backdrop of the forthcoming elections. Now Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation came first in the competition held when NCP was the main party in power in the state. The city became famous throughout the state. Local NCP leaders alleged that there was corruption in the smart city. However, for the work in the Smart City itself, the Municipal Corporation has received three awards namely Open Data Week, Climate Change and Place Making at the ceremony held in Surat. The performance in the competition which was held in 62 cities of the country is definitely commendable. Municipal Corporation will be at the top in various other competitions. So what mistakes did the local leaders of the NCP make while you were in power, instead of politicizing to mislead the people by making baseless allegations? Namedav Dhake has also suggested that this should be considered.
