The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has once again won the crucial Assembly elections. All the five BJP candidates have won. Also, both the NCP and Shiv Sena candidates have won, while Congress’ Bhai Jagtap has lost in this election. This defeat is considered a big blow to the Congress.

The election process for the ten seats in the Legislative Council has just been completed. A total of 285 MLAs have exercised their voting right in this election. Voting was held today for 10 seats in the Legislative Council. After losing 2 votes in this election, 283 votes were declared valid. After that 4 candidates from BJP, 2 from Shiv Sena and 2 from NCP were elected in the first preference round. After that, we saw a big turnout in this election. In this election, BJP’s fifth candidate Prasad Lad got 17 first preference votes and Bhai Jagtap got 20 first preference votes.

The victory of all the five BJP candidates in this election is a big blow to the Mahavikas Aghadi. Because in this election, it was seen that there was a fight between Bhai Jagtap and Chandrakant Handore. However, the defeat of Bhai Jagtap has come as a shock to the Congress.
Congress objected, delay in counting of votes
Voting for 10 seats in the Legislative Council took place today. Out of total 288 MLAs, 285 MLAs cast their votes. While Nawab Malik and Anil Deshmukh were denied permission to vote by the High Court, Shiv Sena MLA Ramesh Latke has passed away. Before the counting of votes began, the Congress objected to the voting of BJP candidates Laxman Jagtap and Mukta Tilak. The Congress objected that Jagtap and Mukta Tilak cast their votes through helpers. For this, the Congress along with the state election officials lodged a complaint with the Central Election Commission. As a result, the counting of votes in the Legislative Council was delayed.
The Election Commission rejected the objection
BJP leaders were claiming that all the five BJP candidates would be elected. Congress election objections have been rejected by state election officials, but the Central Election Commission has upheld the decision and ordered the counting of votes to begin. BJP MLA Rahul Narvekar said that the Central Election Commission may have ordered the commencement of counting of votes as the Sukrutdarshani objection was not valid.
