Workers in various departments like IT, engineering, oil became unemployed. On the one hand there was huge inflation and on the other hand there was no job. Many were fired, despite court orders not to fire workers in Corona. Entrepreneurs have not complied with the court order.

He took advantage of Corona to replace the permanent workers with contract workers. Working from them for 12-12 hours, he started extorting them. Weekend leave is also not granted. The existence of the workers is coming to an end. May 1, 1886, marks Labor Day in the United States. There was a big movement to fix the working hours of the workers. This battle completed 133 years. But even today, in many establishments, workers have to fight for their rights. The practice of labor has been abolished. The Contract Workers Regulation and Abolition Act, 1970 came into existence. Since then, permanent workers in government, semi-government, private establishments, factories and industries have been replaced by contractors in the country. Contractors hire workers for 12 hours. But, they do not pay the minimum wage. Provident fund, weekly, festive holidays, medical treatment are not provided as per government rules. The picture of workers going back 133 years is now being seen in Maharashtra and the country, ”said Yashwantbhau Bhosale.
