The Supreme Court has now entered the power struggle in Maharashtra. The Eknath Shinde faction, which split into Shiv Sena factions, filed two petitions in the Supreme Court. An urgent hearing will be held on the petition today. Bharat Gogavale has filed the petition against the disqualification notice issued to 16 MLAs.

Shinde himself has filed a petition against Narhari Jirwal’s decision to approve the appointment of Ajay Chaudhary as the group leader. The apex court has granted the request for an urgent hearing and both the petitions will be heard simultaneously today.

The petition filed by the Shinde group claims that it has withdrawn its support to the Mahavikas Aghadi. This is considered a wake-up call for the Mahavikas Aghadi government. Will the Mahavikas Aghadi go to power in the state? There is a lot of talk about this now.
