Leaving reservation tomorrow at Prof. Ramkrishna More Auditorium in Chinchwad; The election department has completed the preparation of the program

Pimpri: Leaving women’s reservation for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and General Open Group (Open) seats for the upcoming Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation elections tomorrow (Tuesday 31st) at 11 am Pvt. Ramakrishna More will be taken out in the auditorium. The entire preparation has been completed by the election department of the municipality. A trial has also been held in this regard.

The final three-member ward structure was released on May 13. Now the reservation will be removed on Tuesday. Students will be drawn in a transparent glass dam by throwing one color lottery tickets. Screens will be set up in and out of the auditorium to make it visible to the public. The entire draw will be photographed. Considering the crowd, adequate security along with police security will be deployed, said Assistant Commissioner Balasaheb Khandekar. There is a lot of curiosity among the aspirants regarding the draw. Objections and suggestions regarding the draw will be accepted for six days from 1st to 6th June after the draw. After considering the objections and suggestions, the ward wise reservation will be finalized and published on 13th June.

That is the process

Out of the total 22 seats in the first SC, 11 seats will be vacated for women. After that, out of the total 3 seats of ST, 2 seats for women will be vacated. Lots of 25 seats for SC and ST will be set aside. Out of the remaining 114 seats, 57 seats for women in the general open category will be drawn. For this, lots will be drawn on the ‘A’ place in the first ward. After that, lots will be drawn on ‘B’ space. The remaining seats will be for this general open group. A maximum of two women’s seats will be reserved in a ward. All three women in one ward will not have reservations.

70 lots for women will be drawn

Out of 22 seats in SC, 11 are for women. So, 2 out of 3 seats in ST are for women. There are a total of 114 seats for the general open group, of which 57 seats are for women. Out of the total 139 seats, 70 lots will be drawn for women’s seats.
