Mumbai : While the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence is being celebrated with a bang across the country, the state government has announced an initiative to sing the National Anthem tomorrow across the state on the lines of the central government’s Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The state government has issued such an ordinance in today’s cabinet meeting. According to this, the government has issued guidelines regarding the rules to be followed by the citizens during the collective national anthem singing activity scheduled from 11:00 am to 11:01 am.
Deputy Chief Minister of the state Devendra Fadnavis has appealed that all the citizens should participate in the collective national anthem singing activity and set a record. With the concept of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, various innovative activities are currently being completed in the country under the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. In the background of the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, ‘Swarajya Mahotsav’ is currently being organized in the state, and within this festival, the innovative concept of ‘collective national anthem singing’ has come forward. Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis appealed to all the citizens of the state to participate in this activity with great enthusiasm.
Guidelines of Shinde Govt
In line with the successful implementation of the ‘Group Singing of the National Anthem’ initiative under ‘Swarajya Mahotsav’, the following general instructions are being issued to all the ministerial departments and the zonal offices under their jurisdiction.
1. On August 17, at 11:00 am, it should be ensured that the National Anthem will be sung simultaneously by groups everywhere in the state.
2. The participation of students and teachers from private, government and all other types of schools / colleges / educational institutes / universities in the state will be mandatory for this national anthem singing.
3. All concerned should take care that the group national anthem will start at exactly 11:00 am and the national anthem is expected to be sung for one minute from 11:00 am to 11:01 am.
4. All concerned should take special care to create awareness among the citizens at all levels to ensure that the National Anthem is not disrespected knowingly or unknowingly during group singing of the National Anthem.
5. All concerned agencies should appeal to all citizens of the state to stop and sing the national anthem on August 17, at 11.00 am.
6. All concerned should take care that private establishments, commercial establishments, institutions, government and semi-government offices, officers/employees of offices related to central government and state government will also need to actively participate in this activity.
7. All the students should be given detailed information about this activity in schools / colleges / educational institutions / universities in advance. It will be mandatory for all government / private schools, colleges, universities, all types of educational institutions / officers and employees of government and semi-government offices to participate in the said activity.
8. The school education department and the higher and technical education department should direct all the concerned for the singing of the national anthem.
9. Village Development and Panchayat Raj Department and Urban Development Department should give instructions to all concerned for active participation of all administrative officers and functionaries at village level, ward level (Municipality/ Municipal Council/ Nagar Panchayat/ Municipal Corporation level).
10. The Collector should coordinate the district for this activity and also make a public appeal to all the semi-governmental, cooperative as well as private establishments, business establishments and organizations of the district to participate in group singing of the National Anthem. Also, Tehsildar should coordinate this activity at the taluka level.
11. Mass media such as print media, social media, private channels, radio, FM radio, community radio etc. should be used for awareness and promotion and publicity of this programme.
