Two youths were killed on the spot when a luxury bus heading in the wrong direction heading towards Mohol hit a Bolero jeep head-on on the Pandharpur-Alandi Palkhi Highway. The accident took place at Sarole (Tal. Mohol) on April 22 at 1 pm and both the youths who died in the accident are residents of Palashi and Supli (Tal. Pandharpur).

According to the Mohol Police, Arun Bhanudas Kengar (35) of Palashi (Tal. Pandharpur) and Suresh Baban Bhosale (30) of Supli took Balu Waghmare’s Bolero Jeep No. MH13A Z3869 from the same village. The bride had gone to Solapur to leave. The duo was returning to the village from Solapur at around 12 midnight when they were returning from Solapur after a program of turmeric and meal at Solapur. Arun Bhandas Kengar (35) of Palashi (Tal. Pandharpur) and Suresh Baban Bhosale (30) of Supli were hit in the head and died on the spot.
- Luxury bus driver absconding
The Bolero car was smashed on the spot and the luxury bus was also badly damaged in the tragic accident. Meanwhile, the driver of the luxury bus left the vehicle and fled. According to Palasi (Tal. Pandharpur), Mohol police has registered a case against the driver of the luxury bus. Further investigations are being carried out by Avinash Shinde, chief of the accident squad and Jyotiba Pawar, assistant faujdar under the guidance of police inspector Ashok Saikar.
