Mumbai : Woman loses sight due to wrong injection by doctor at Cooper Hospital He has also lodged a complaint at Juhu Police Station, Thane.
The woman had been suffering from cataracts for the last few days at Sahargaon in Andheri East. The woman was admitted to Cooper Hospital in Villeparle for cataract surgery. The woman’s son has alleged that the woman lost her sight due to wrong injections and medication given by Cooper Hospital trainee doctors during the surgery. He also warned that strict action should be taken against the guilty doctors or else we would protest outside Cooper Hospital with the families of the victims.
The superintendent of the hospital, Dr. When Shailesh Mohite was asked about this, he said that the surgery was performed following the medical rules. The patient’s family has been informed in full. They should also consult a specialist doctor as per their wishes, he said. Mohite said. Also the doctor was not a trainee. He said he was a DNB specialist doctor at the hospital.
