Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Ready for December 31st; A Large Security Deployment Across the City
Pimpri Chinchwad | In preparation for the New Year celebrations, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate has planned an extensive security arrangement to maintain law and order. A special security force will be deployed under the police commissioner’s jurisdiction. From the night of December 31st until January 1st, 2025, a large contingent of police personnel will be stationed throughout the city.
Strict Security at Key Locations For the New Year, special patrols will be conducted at religious places, temples, mosques, malls, hotels, lodges, and public areas. At important locations, vehicle checks will be carried out at barricades, and strict action will be taken against rule violators. Police will particularly focus on individuals driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, and causing disturbances in public places during the night.
Control Over Noise Pollution To prevent incidents of excessive noise pollution during the celebrations, the police have taken special precautions. Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Chaubey has warned of immediate action against those violating noise limits.
Strict Action Against Reckless Drivers There will be immediate punitive action against drivers who create loud noise from their vehicles or those driving with triple passengers. Additionally, the police will keep a close watch on those causing disturbances or misbehaving in public places in the excitement of welcoming the New Year.
Special Police Teams Deployed The police commissioner has appointed a total of 1 police commissioner, 6 assistant police commissioners, 46 police inspectors, 154 assistant inspectors/sub-inspectors, 1,520 constables, 1 Quick Response Team (QRT), 5 SRPF teams, 8 stakeout teams, and 70 wardens across the city.
