Pimpri-Chinchwad: Demand for Rehabilitation of Small Entrepreneurs in Kudalwadi
Creation of 201 shops in the proposed building in Bhoseari : MLA Mahesh Landge's instructions to the Municipal Corporation
Pimpri-Chinchwad | Representative । The Municipal Corporation administration conducted a large-scale anti-encroachment drive in Kudalwadi. During this drive, illegal scrap shops were removed, resulting in losses for some small entrepreneurs. Therefore, BJP leader and MLA Mahesh Landge has demanded the rehabilitation of small entrepreneurs at Plot No. T-201, Reservation No. 40, Bhoseari MIDC.
He has submitted a memorandum to the Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh in this regard. The memorandum states that through the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, a building is being proposed for the rehabilitation of small entrepreneurs at Plot No. T-201, Reservation No. 40, Bhoseari MIDC. The work order for this was issued on June 16, 2008. However, the work is still incomplete. This project includes two buildings, with 208 industrial shops planned. The area of the shops ranges from 292 to 630 square feet. The upper floors will have facilities such as ramps for transportation, firefighting systems, and landscaping. There will also be facilities for material and passenger lifts.
According to the Municipal Corporation’s policy, the distribution of these shops will be made to eligible shopholders for rehabilitation. The remaining shops will be distributed through an auction process. A total of 208 shops will be created in the building. Therefore, MLA Landge has initiated follow-up efforts to expedite the completion of this project.
The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation administration has conducted a blanket anti-encroachment drive in Kudalwadi. As a result, both the native people and small entrepreneurs have suffered losses. The administration should sympathetically consider the rehabilitation of these small entrepreneurs through this project. To this end, the construction work of the building in Bhoseari MIDC should be expedited, and priority should be given to the small entrepreneurs from Kudalwadi in the allocation of the 208 shops being created. We are following up for positive action on this matter.
Mahesh Landge, MLA, Bhosari Assembly, BJP, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune.
