these women will not receive the benefit of the December installment

PUNE | The Maharashtra government’s ‘Chief Minister Ladki Behen Yojana’ for women has become extremely popular. However, after reviewing the applications, 10,000 women’s applications from Pune district have been deemed ineligible. As a result, these women will not receive the benefit of the December installment.

After receiving an overwhelming response to the Chief Minister Ladki Behen Yojana, the applications were thoroughly examined. During the review, several errors were found, leading to many applications being rejected. A total of 21,11,363 applications were approved from Pune district, but 12,000 applications are still under review. Out of these, 9,814 applications were found ineligible, while 5,814 applications were rejected due to minor errors.

The eligibility checks for the scheme include verifying the applicant’s family annual income certificate, income tax certificate, and checks for pensioners or owners of four-wheeled vehicles. If the applicant’s annual income exceeds 2.5 lakh rupees, their application is disqualified. Additionally, retired individuals with pensions or applicants owning four-wheeled vehicles are also being scrutinized.

The Chief Minister Ladki Behen Yojana was introduced to promote the economic empowerment of women. However, some errors have caused obstacles in the process of receiving the benefits under this scheme. The Women and Child Welfare Department has issued instructions to the applicants to rectify their errors, and if they provide the correct documents, their application may be approved.
