Relocation of Transformer Obstructing Traffic at Chikhali-Patil Nagar; Successful Follow-up by BJP MLA Mahesh Landge

Pimpri Chinchwad |  An old transformer installed by MSEDCL (Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited) at a busy location on the Dehu-Alandi Road in Chikhali-Patil Nagar had been causing regular traffic congestion. Recognizing the issue, BJP MLA Mahesh Landge had suggested its relocation to the concerned authorities. Acting on his recommendation, the administration successfully carried out the relocation of the transformer today.

Local residents and villagers from the Chikhali-Patil Nagar area in the Bhosari Assembly constituency had been demanding the removal of the transformer, which was obstructing traffic on the Dehu-Alandi Road.

Responding to these concerns, MLA Mahesh Landge persistently followed up with MSEDCL. Eventually, the transformer was relocated. Former corporator Kundan Gaikwad, social activist Vinayak More, and relevant officials and staff from the Municipal Corporation and MSEDCL were present during the relocation.

The Patil Nagar stretch of Dehu-Alandi Road is extremely busy and hosts several small-scale industries. Workers frequently commute through this route. The transformer in Patil Nagar had become a major hindrance to the smooth flow of traffic, leading to persistent traffic jams. To ensure seamless traffic and ease public inconvenience, MLA Landge consistently pursued the matter with MSEDCL, demanded the relocation, and successfully ensured its completion.

To further improve traffic movement in Chikhali and surrounding areas, work on seven DP (Development Plan) roads under the Municipal Corporation’s development plan has already begun. Additionally, the issue of the “42 missing links” in the city’s road network is expected to be resolved soon.

“We are making every effort to provide traffic congestion-free roads to the citizens of Pimpri-Chinchwad. The demand for removing the transformer obstructing traffic in Chikhali-Patil Nagar has been addressed accordingly. We are committed to ensuring smooth and obstruction-free roads for the common public,” said
