Lawyer’s “Mulshi Pattern” Creates Uproar in Pimpri-Chinchwad: Gun Incident at Kasarsai Shocks Locals
Farmers Take Aggressive Stand; Lawyer and Associates Flee the Scene

Pimpri-Chinchwad: A dramatic land dispute incident in Kasarsai, Mulshi taluka, has caused a major stir in the region, drawing comparisons to the popular Marathi movie Mulshi Pattern, which depicted land grabs, political backing, and rising criminal activities. What was once a reel story appears to have turned real, unsettling the local population.
The lawyer at the center of the incident has been identified as Advocate Sandeep Bhoir, who represents Dhananjay Wadkar. The dispute involves a piece of land previously owned by Shabbir Mulani, a local farmer. Although Wadkar had purchased the land, the ownership is under legal dispute due to provisions under the Tenancy (Kul Kayda) Law. The matter has been in court for nearly 10–12 years.

On the afternoon of June 6, around 2 PM, Advocate Bhoir visited the disputed site in Kasarsai. A confrontation ensued between Bhoir and the Mulani family. During the heated exchange, Bhoir allegedly drew a firearm from his waist, which angered the family and nearby farmers. In response, an aggressive crowd began to gather, forcing Bhoir and his associates to flee the scene immediately.
The incident has triggered widespread concern and tension in the area. Both parties have been summoned to the Hinjewadi Police Station, where police are conducting an investigation. Further action will be taken following their inquiry.
Locals and farmer groups have condemned the use of intimidation tactics and firearms in land disputes, stating that the incident reflects the growing criminal influence in real estate matters in the Pune region.
