CNG price hiked by Rs 2.20 in Pune, third price hike in a month and a half

On the one hand, petrol and diesel prices in the state have been stable for the last 24 days, which has brought some relief to the common man. But on the other hand, the people of Pune are facing the shock of CNG price hike. Today, CNG rates have been increased once again. This is the third increase in the price of CNG in the last one and a half months. The price of CNG has been hiked by Rs 2.20 per kg to Rs 77.20 per kg. The new hike is effective from today.

Earlier, CNG prices were hiked by Rs 2 per kg. At that time, the price of CNG had gone up from Rs 73 to Rs 75. Earlier, the price of CNG was hiked by Rs 5 per kg from Rs 68 to Rs 73 per kg. Today, the price of CNG has gone up by Rs 2.20 per kg to Rs 77.20 per kg.

  • State government’s decision to reduce VAT

The state government had decided to reduce the CNG tax to boost the use of CNG. The announcement was made by Finance Minister Ajit Pawar in the budget. According to him, CNG has become cheaper by Rs 6 per kg since April 1, when VAT on CNG was reduced by 13.5 per cent. However, this happiness did not last long, only two days after the companies increased the price of CNG. The price of CNG was increased by five rupees. Since then it has been increased by two rupees and now once again by two rupees and twenty paise. The biggest financial blow is being felt by the consumers.

  • Petrol and diesel prices stable

On the one hand, CNG prices have been hiked again in Pune today, but on the other hand, petrol and diesel prices have remained stable in the state for the last 24 days without any change. The Center has appealed to the states to reduce taxes on petrol and diesel.
