Aurangabad: Shiv Sena chief and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will hold a Swabhiman Sabha in Aurangabad today. On the occasion of this meeting, preparations have been made on the grounds of Marathwada Sanskritik Mandal. Against this backdrop, it is being speculated that Uddhav Thackeray will make a big announcement about the renaming of Aurangabad in today’s meeting. It is an old demand of Shiv Sena that Aurangabad should be renamed as Sambhajinagar. Therefore, Shiv Sainiks feel that this demand should be fulfilled now that the party is in power in the state. The first branch of Shiv Sena in Marathwada and meeting of Uddhav Thackeray
The first branch of Shiv Sena in Marathwada was established on 8th June 1985 in Aurangabad. A public meeting of Uddhav Thackeray has been organized on the occasion of the anniversary of this branch. Preparations for the success of the meeting have been going on for a month under the leadership of Shiv Sena leader, former MP Chandrakant Khaire, district chief and MLA Ambadas Danve. Chandrakant Khaire has scoured the whole of Marathwada, while Ambadas Danve has gone to groups in Aurangabad district and interacted with the citizens. Khaire and Danve have appealed to the citizens including Shiv Sena workers to attend the meeting in large numbers.
Veteran leaders enter the city for pre-preparation
For the preparation of Uddhav Thackeray’s meeting, Deputy Leader Dr. Neelam Gorhe, liaison chief Vinod Ghosalkar has been in Aurangabad for two days. Shiv Sena office bearers held meetings in ward wards of Aurangabad city for the meeting. The park, after reaching the weekly market, appealed to the citizens to come to the meeting. Shiv Sena has also tried to create saffron consciousness in Aurangabad on the occasion of the meeting. Saffron flags and hoardings have been erected on major flyovers, squares and roads.
Meanwhile, preparations have been made for the meeting which will start at 6 pm on the grounds of Marathwada Sanskritik Mandal. A grand platform has been set up on the ground and three screens will be set up on the ground so that the citizens can see and hear the meetings properly. A screen has also been set up on the grounds of Khadkeshwar temple, informed Raju Danve, Deputy Mayor of Shiv Sena, who is keeping an eye on the preparations for the meeting.
