Pune: A case has been registered against 15 persons for making offensive and defamatory comments against Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Facebook at Wadgaon Nimbalkar Police Station in Pune district. The case has been registered under Sections 294, 500, 501, 504, 505.
The accused have been identified as Satish Vartak, Vishwajeet Indradev Potfade, Vipul Bhongale, Vinod Pawar, Vijay Bhunge, Rajnikanth Rathod, Shantanu Ghanwat, Prasanna Nizampurkar, Ashutosh Pathade, Harish Shete, Kunal Mahadik, Ganesh Chormare and Abhijeet Deshmukh. Nitin Sanjay Yadav has filed a complaint in this regard.
It is learned that some people living in Karanjipur village in Pune district had written an offensive and defamatory comment on Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s Facebook post demanding tax exemption for The Kashmir Price. A case has been registered against all those who have made these comments. Sub-Inspector of Police Yogesh Shelar is investigating the matter further.
