The arrival of Ganeshotsav is eagerly awaited and the beloved Ganesha is arriving in just a few days. Mumbai Municipal Corporation, police and various systems are busy preparing for Ganesh Chaturthi. Markets are also blooming to welcome Ganesha and all the devotees are focused on Ganesha’s arrival. As soon as Ganashotsav begins, special attention is also paid to the arrangement of immersion for one and a half to eleven days. While handling the responsibility of immersion system through Mumbai Municipal Corporation, attention is being paid to the times of high tide waves in the sea from 9th to 13th September during that period.
If we look at the tide schedule for the period of September 9 to 13 for the immersion, on September 10 around 11 pm at 11.55 pm waves of 5.68 meters height will be seen. In Mumbai, like the domestic ones, public Ganeshotsav mandals of Ganesha are immersed in large scale for a period ranging from one and a half days to Anant Chaturdashi.
Various facilities are provided by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation for the convenience of public Ganeshotsav mandals including devotees going for beach immersion during this period. Special preparations are also made for Ganesha immersion in beaches, lakes, Krimitra Lake etc. Nirmalya Kalash along with lifeguards, crowd management with the help of social service organizations etc. are fulfilled so that the devotees coming to the beaches for Ganesh immersion do not face any problem. At the same time, tide times are also important. For this, the devotees will use the schedule of sea tides and low tides through the Mumbai Municipal Corporation.
