‘Aadhaar’ from Pune to Kashmiri girl; Agreement between Puneet Balan Group and Afrin Haider

Pune : Afrin Haider, who made his mark at the 37th National Taekwondo Championships, has been signed by Puneet Balan Group in Pune. The 21-year-old Afrin has so far established his dominance in Taekwondo with strong and targeted performances in various national and international competitions.

Afrin started playing taekwondo when he was in seventh grade at Delhi Public School in Srinagar. She was attracted to this sport after watching the fight in the film. In the early days, she used to practice with the boy. It brought a natural aggression to her game. She was also often punished for kicking her school children. The same aggressiveness also carried over into her game and she became a winner in the district level competition in no time.

Her journey continued smoothly. She has shown that she is in mint condition by winning many district and divisional competitions. Then at the age of 19, she participated in the G1 international competition held in Nepal and won a bronze medal. She is currently studying in Jesus and Mary College of Delhi University and is also preparing for various competitive exams.

“Any athlete playing an individual sport often has to struggle financially. This experience is also with me. However, now that I have joined the Puneet Balan group, my major problem has been solved and I will try to make India’s name shine at the international level while playing to my full potential in the upcoming tournament.

“Afreen has been brilliant so far in individual sports. We are absolutely sure that this quality of Kashmir Valley is definitely capable of making its mark at the international level.
