Announcement of Administrator and Commissioner Shekhar Singh: Boards are requested to cooperate with the administration

The administration should ensure that there will be no shortage of facilities for Ganeshotsav this year. Also, Commissioner Shekhar Singh directed the administration to continue the one-window scheme implemented in the regional office for various permits given to Ganesh Mandals by the Municipal Corporation and Police Administration even on holidays. He appealed to the citizens to cooperate with the administration to celebrate the eco-friendly Ganeshotsav as per the guidelines of the Maharashtra government.

Ganeshotsav will be celebrated with great enthusiasm everywhere from 31st August to 9th September. A joint meeting of Municipal Corporation and Pimpri Chinchwad Police was held today in the main administrative building of the Municipal Corporation under the chairmanship of Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh to plan for providing facilities in the background of this year’s Ganeshotsav celebrated in Pimpri Chinchwad city as well as to review area wise. On this occasion Additional Commissioner Vikas Dhakne, Jitendra Wagh, Ulhas Jagtap, Deputy Commissioner of Police Manchak Ipar, Anand Bhoite, City Engineer Makarand Nikam, Joint Commissioner Ashadevi Durgude, City Engineer Shrikant Sawane, Ramdas Tambe, Gyandev Jundhare, Sanjay Kulkarni, Disaster Management Officer Omprakash Bahiwal. Officers and employees of various departments were present along with him.

Commissioner Shekhar Singh said, various permits required for public Ganesha Mandals from Municipal Corporation, Police Administration etc. will be made available at one place in the regional office through a single window scheme. Also, this facility will be continued on holidays like Saturday and Sunday. Commissioner Shekhar Singh said that no fee will be charged from the Municipal Corporation while granting permission, but it will be mandatory for the concerned board to follow the terms and conditions set by the Government, Municipal Corporation and other agencies.

Keep the procession route, Visarjan Ghat in order…
The municipal administration should immediately organize the Ganeshotsav procession routes and all immersion ghats in the city. Also electricity should be arranged at that place. Due to the release of water from the dam, the necessary system should be kept ready to deal with the emergency situation, keeping in mind the increase of water in the river bed. The artificial immersion tanks on the river ghats should be repaired and new artificial tanks should be constructed at other places as required. Commissioner Shekhar Singh gave suggestions to the administration that regional officers should hold meetings with public Ganesha mandals, housing organizations, non-governmental organizations, environmentalist organizations at the ward level and appeal to the citizens to celebrate the environment-friendly Ganeshotsav. The municipal administration and the police should inspect the disposal sites and determine the disposal ghats, the list of these places should be published for the citizens. Commissioner Shekhar Singh directed that a control room should be created and the situation should be monitored through it.
