Chinchwad Constituency Has the Highest, While Maval Has the Lowest Number of Disabled Voters
Highest and Lowest Number of Disabled Voters in Pune District Constituencies

Pune: In Pune district, the highest number of disabled voters, totaling 12,101, is found in the Chinchwad assembly constituency, while the Maval constituency has the lowest number at just 1,689. This information was shared by District Collector and District Election Officer Dr. Suhas Divate, who also noted that various facilities are being made available for disabled voters across all constituencies.
In total, there are 90,134 disabled voters across 21 assembly constituencies in the district. This number includes voters with physical disabilities, hearing impairments, low vision, and other types of disabilities. The distribution of disabled voters across various constituencies is as follows: Junner has 1,917, Ambegaon has 2,776, Khed-Alandi has 3,612, Shirur has 3,986, Daund has 3,180, Indapur has 212, Baramati has 4,980, Purandar has 4,313, Bhor has 6,080, Maval has 1,689, Chinchwad has 12,101, Pimpri has 4,251, Bhosari has 7,143, Vadgaon Sheri has 3,537, Shivajinagar has 2,216, Kothrud has 2,814, Khadakwasla has 3,439, Parvati has 3,440, Hadapsar has 7,615, Pune Cantonment has 5,100, and Kasba Peth has 4,868 disabled voters.
To assist disabled voters, various facilities will be provided at all polling stations, including ramps, sufficient wheelchairs, transportation arrangements, separate queues, materials in Braille, interpreters for hearing-impaired voters, assistants, waiting areas, the option to fill out Form 12 for home voting, and a helpline number (9226363002) for assistance. Additionally, the Election Administration has stated that constituency-specific facilities will be made available based on requests from disabled voters through the “Saksham” app.
