Regarding the Vedant Foxconn project, he said, ‘Their (company’s) mentality may have changed a little because they thought we would not get support in Maharashtra. Eknath Shinde said that Prime Minister Modi said that he would know that there will be a change of government in Maharashtra. However, Eknath Shinde also said that the Prime Minister has assured that the central government will help to bring bigger projects in Maharashtra in the future.

Maharashtra has lost investment worth Rs 1.54 lakh crore and nearly one and a half lakh jobs as Foxconn projects moved out of the state.
