Mumbai |

After the shocking result in the Rajya Sabha elections, the Mahavikas Aghadi and the BJP are fighting again on the occasion of the Legislative Council elections to be held today, Monday. While the Mahavikas Aghadi is facing a challenge to win all the six seats, the BJP is planning to send a message that the government is not stable by beating the Aghadi again. The ‘eleventh’ in this election is the question of who will be the losing candidate. Voting begins at 9 a.m.

Eleven candidates are in the fray for ten seats in the Legislative Council. With one seat vacant in the Assembly, Anil Deshmukh and Nawab Malik are unlikely to get the right to vote. Winning will require 25 to 26 first choice votes. Voting is likely to be rigged due to secret ballot. The votes of political parties were not divided in the Rajya Sabha. But, anything can happen in the Legislative Council, leaders of all parties are suggesting.
