Amravati: As the incidence of violence against women continues to rise, another disturbing incident has come to light in the premises of Nagpur Gate Police Station in Amravati city. A 35-year-old man sexually assaulted a 50-year-old woman in the area and made a video of her sexually assaulting him. It has also been revealed that the victim was again physically abused by threatening to make the video viral. Abdul Shakeel Abdul Bashir (35, resident of Rahmatnagar Street No. 1, Amravati) is the name of the youth arrested by the police.
According to the information received, Abdul Shakeel and the victim were acquainted with each other. Shakeel raped the woman for the first time a few months ago when no one was at her house. He also threatened not to tell about it anywhere. He then repeatedly went to the woman’s house and raped her. Meanwhile, a few months ago, Abdul Shakeel took the victim to a forest area near Chhatri Lake and raped her again. This time he took out a video of a woman sexually abusing him.
Due to this, the victim stopped talking to him. However, the accused had threatened the woman that the video would go viral. Meanwhile, on May 29, he took the woman on a two-wheeler to the forest in Lalkhadi area and tortured her again. He then released the woman. The victim lodged a complaint at the Nagpur Gate Police Station. The police have arrested the accused on charges of rape and intimidation.
