Sune, a computer engineer, was allegedly raped by her father-in-law in Amravati. However, as the victim was from Dhule, Devpur police have registered a case against the victim’s husband and mother-in-law and arrested them.

A 26-year-old boy, a computer engineer of a retired principal from a college in Amravati, was married to a young woman from Dhule on December 24, 2020. After the marriage, the victim went to Amravati. However, a few months later, her father-in-law blackmailed her and harassed her. The father-in-law also threatened to force the boy to divorce her by making false allegations against her. Also, Sune’s mother-in-law demanded Rs 40 lakh from Sune to buy a flat in Pune. He also repeatedly abused the married woman, accusing her of being a traitor. - Police arrested from Pune
The victim captured a video of her father-in-law raping her on her mobile. Even after the married woman showed the video to her mother-in-law and husband, they did not believe her. The married woman told her mother-in-law that this happened after Corona’s restrictions were lifted after she endured constant abuse during the Corona period. After this, with the help of her uncle, the married woman lodged a complaint with the Devpur Police Station in Dhule. A mother-in-law and her husband have been arrested from Pune and a case has been registered against them.
