Arrested Amravati MP Navneet Rana and her husband MLA Ravi Rana have been shocked once again in court. Because the Rana couple did not get immediate relief even in the Mumbai Sessions Court. The Rana couple had filed an application in the Mumbai Sessions Court seeking bail. However, the court has given the state government three days to respond to the case. Therefore, the hearing on this application will now be held on April 29.

Mumbai Police arrested Navneet Rana and Ravi Rana after Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray announced to recite Hanuman Chalisa at his private residence ‘Matoshri’. The Rana couple then applied for bail in the Magistrate’s Court. He had also applied for bail in the sessions court while the application was pending and was being heard on April 29.

The police had registered an FIR against the Rana couple under Section 153-A of the Indian Penal Code for creating a rift between the two communities.
