This bridge will be demolished soon. This bridge which is causing traffic jam in Chandni Chowk will be demolished soon. Before that, changes were made in the traffic here on an experimental basis. Traffic on this bridge will be closed from today. Therefore, to go to Bavdhan, Pashan from Kothrud or Satara road, one has to take a detour of at least half a kilometer and get down on the highway from Mulshi towards Satara. From there, turning left, citizens can go to Bavdhan, Pashan.
The task of demolishing the bridge has been given to a private company that demolished the twin towers in Noida. Accordingly, the officials of the concerned company inspected the bridge at Chandni Chowk last week. The authorities have checked whether or not this bridge can be demolished with the help of explosives.
The decision to demolish the bridge will be taken only after its report is submitted to the administration. The expert officers of the concerned company re-inspected at Chandni Chowk. Meetings have been held with the officials of the concerned company regarding the demolition of the bridge and they will submit the complete plan to the highway authority in the next two days. Pre-demolition preparations will be started once the materials are available.
