One of the cattle thieves was beaten to death; Crimes registered against 13 persons

Raigad : An incident has taken place in Mangaon taluka where one person was killed after being beaten to death by a mob. An angry mob also set fire to a car in the incident. A case has been registered against 13 persons at Mangaon police station in this regard. The incident took place on Saturday morning in the dam area of ​​Ravalje village in the taluka. Patnus police Patil Pradip Mahipat Mahamunkar (50, resident of Mhasewadi) lodged a complaint at Mangaon police station.

The mob attacked three strangers in Mangaon on suspicion of stealing cattle. One was killed and at least two others escaped. Police arrested Mahesh Sutar, Ketan Kode, Ganesh Sutar, Sachin Adulkar (four, resident of Vile), Sagar Khanvilkar (resident of Bhale), Sandeep Kurme, Shubham Dhupkar (both of Nizampur), Sanket Sakharam Sutar, Rupesh Vilas Sutar, Santosh. A case has been registered against 13 persons including Padwal (three residents of Mhasewadi), Naresh Jadhav (resident of Phansidang Adivasiwadi), Suraj Bawdhane (resident of Vile, Dhangarwadi), Karan Shripat Mahamunkar (resident of Patnus).

Upon receiving information about the incident, Mangaon Sub-Divisional Police Officer Pravin Patil, Inspector Rajendra Patil, Assistant Inspector Aswar, Sub-Inspector Kirti Kumar Gaikwad visited the spot. Seven people have been arrested in the case and the Mangaon court has remanded them in police custody till May 14. Police are searching for six accused.
