A shocking incident has come to light when four young men and women who went for a trip were swept away at the Kantai Dam on the Girna River near the city. Citizens have managed to save three of these four persons and one person has gone missing in the river. He is currently being searched. This incident which happened on Sunday afternoon has created excitement in Jalgaon city. Samiksha Vipin Shirdukar (aged 17), Yogita Damu Patil (aged 20) and Sagar Damu Patil (aged 24) have been brought to the district hospital, while the search for Nayan Yogesh Nimbalkar (aged 14) is still on.

According to information received, 10 to 15 children from Mithila Apartment near Dudh Federation in Shivaji Nagar area had gone for a trip to Kantai Bandhara Nagai- Jogai temple area as it was Sunday holiday. Meanwhile, while Girna was enjoying the water in the river bed, the water suddenly rose due to heavy rain. At this time, a girl fell into the water due to her foot slipping. After that, four children were drifting in the water trying to save each other. Samiksha Vipin Shirdukar, Yogita Damu Patil and Sagar Damu Patil were pulled out of the water by the other children who were accompanying them. But Nayan did not get involved. He was swept away by the strong current of water and a search is on for him. Meanwhile, as soon as the information about the incident came to light, citizens rushed to the district hospital. It is also learned that all the three rescued children have been taken to a private hospital.
