Consumers and shopkeepers often argue about the price of goods when they go shopping. However, in Ahmednagar, a fight over Vadapav’s car for five rupees cost the life of a young man. The customer demanded a Vadapav worth Rs. 20 for Rs. 15. The two got into an argument first and then a fight. His colleagues also rushed to the aid of the driver. As a result, the young customer was seriously injured in the beating. He later died while undergoing treatment. MIDC police have registered a case of murder and started arresting the accused.
The incident took place at Navnagapur in MIDC area of Ahmednagar. The deceased has been identified as Praveen Ramesh Kamble (age 35, resident of Balikashram Road, Nagar). Consumer Praveen Ramesh Kamble has died in a beating by a Vadapav seller and his accomplices. Kamble had gone to Navnagapur on a Vadapav vehicle to collect Vadapav. The seller stated that the price of a vadapav was Rs. Kamble demanded fifteen rupees. The controversy escalated. Both of them came to Hamratumari. There were insults and pushbacks.
The controversy escalated. Kamble was beaten by Vadapav’s driver and his accomplices. Kamble was seriously injured. He was admitted to the district hospital for treatment. He died while undergoing treatment there. Police have registered a case of murder following a complaint lodged by Praveen Kamble’s mother. Four accused have been arrested in the case. Assistant Inspector of Police Yuvraj Athare said that police squads have been dispatched to search for the other accused.
