Concerns of Pimpri-Chinchwadkars resolved:

Rains returned last week in Pavana Dam area, which quenches the thirst of Maval residents along with Pimpri-Chinchwad city and the dam is 100 percent full this morning due to good rains for a week. Compared to last year, the water storage is 3.11 percent higher. 9 millimeters of rain fell during the day on Saturday from morning till 6 am today.
Also, a total of 2166 mm of rain has been recorded till this morning. Last year the total rainfall till date was 2059 mm. Therefore, 107 mm of rain has increased till date this year. Also, today’s water storage is 100 percent. Last year, the water storage in the dam as on date was 96.81 percent. Therefore, compared to last year, today’s water storage is 3.11 percent more.
Pavana Dam is the main source of water for various villages in Maval Taluk including Pimpri Chinchwad city. The municipality currently draws 510 MLD of water from the dam. To supply water to the city, impure water is pumped from the dam between Rawet and Punawale on the Pavana River. At Sector 23 Nigdi, water is purified and supplied to residents.
