The judicial custody of former Home Minister and senior NCP leader Anil Deshmukh has been extended for 14 days. Anil Deshmukh was produced in the special PMLA court today. Anil Deshmukh was remanded in custody till September 27 during the court hearing at that time. Anil Deshmukh was admitted to the hospital on August 29 after falling into jail due to dizziness. J. J. He was admitted to the hospital for treatment. He was discharged later in the evening. He was produced in the court the next day and remanded in custody till September 13. The special PMLA court heard again today. At that time, their custody has been extended for 14 days. He was arrested on November 2, 2021. He has been in jail since then.

What exactly is the case?

In March last year, former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh accused Deshmukh of corruption. Parambir Singh had alleged that Deshmukh ordered police officers to collect Rs 100 crore per month from restaurant and bar owners in Mumbai.
In this case, the CBI had filed a corruption case against Deshmukh and Vaze in April last year. After the High Court ordered the CBI to investigate the matter, Deshmukh resigned from the post of Home Minister.
