This is ‘Mission Lotus’: BJP can come to power without Shinde group!

Mumbai: Special Representative
Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Thursday convened a special session of the legislature on June 30 and directed the government to conduct a majority test. Therefore, the floor test will be held in the assembly on Thursday. The convention will begin at 11:00 am The test has to be completed before 5 pm. Shiv Sena has knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court against the Governor’s order. Therefore, it is necessary to see whether Uddhav Thackeray will prove majority in the House.
I have been briefed on the political situation in the state. There is a picture of 39 MLAs of Shiv Sena leaving the Maha Vikas Aghadi government. In it, 7 independent MLAs have sent a letter informing the Raj Bhavan that they have withdrawn their support to the Uddhav Thackeray government. Therefore, the Thackeray government has been asked to conduct a majority test in the House.
The number game can be important when it comes time for a majority test in the House. Shiv Sena currently has 55 MLAs. In which 39 MLAs are against Uddhav Thackeray. These rebel MLAs have been staying in hotels in Guwahati for the last 9 days. On the other hand, two MLAs in Uddhav Thackeray’s Maha Vikas Aghadi government are positive. Two members are in jail. In other words, the government of Mahavikas Aghadi can ruin the arithmetic of 43 MLAs. On the other hand, 2 other 7 independent MLAs of Mahavikas Aghadi have distanced themselves from the Mavia government.

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena has disqualified 16 MLAs. A decision in that regard is pending in the Supreme Court. Although the Shinde group says this is a technical issue, the path of the rebel MLAs is not easy. Shiv Sena has 39 MLAs from Shinde group. Similarly, MLA Eknath Shinde has two-thirds. Therefore, the law of secession does not apply to them. These MLAs are urging to form an alliance with BJP. Therefore, the path to power is easy for the BJP. The question now is whether the MLAs in Guwahati are with Shinde or whether some of them will join the Uddhav Thackeray faction. Anything can happen in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. Because Uddhav Thackeray’s leaders are constantly claiming that some of the rebel MLAs are in touch.

What is math?
There are a total of 288 seats in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. One of the Shiv Sena MLAs has passed away. So this number is 287. In such a case, 144 MLAs are needed to prove a majority in the House. The NCP has 53 MLAs, the Congress has 44 and the Shiv Sena has 55 MLAs. The sum of these three parties is 152. Apart from that, the constituent parties in Mavia are also included. But due to the mutiny in Shiv Sena, the math has gone wrong. The Mavia government has the support of 3, SP, 2 and 11 other MLAs from the Bahujan Vikas Aghadi. The Bharatiya Janata Party, on the other hand, has 106 MLAs. He has the support of 7 independents and other MLAs. At present, the BJP has the support of 113 MLAs. Even if all the MLAs, including Eknath Shinde, are disqualified or disqualified from voting, the BJP can easily reach a majority. For 287 MLAs, support of 144 MLAs is required. But if 39 MLAs from Shinde group did not participate in the majority test, 121 MLAs will be needed for a majority. At present, the BJP has the support of 113 MLAs and 16 others. This number reaches 129. Therefore, Uddhav Thackeray will fail to prove his majority.
