Nashik: Many districts in Maharashtra are experiencing severe water scarcity. As a result, women have to struggle for water. The situation is similar in Nashik district and the wells have literally reached the bottom. Bhagyashree Bhoye went to fetch water this morning at Borichi Bari in Peth taluka.
Every year women have to work hard for water at Borichi Bari in Peth taluka of the district. The incident of a woman falling into a well this morning caused a stir in the area. Upon learning of the incident, the locals rushed to the well and rescued the woman.
- The dire reality of water scarcity and the warning of the villagers
The tanker comes to the village once in two-three days. However, this water is not enough for the villagers. So these women have to go for water. The villagers are demanding that the administration should take notice of this serious issue. The villagers have warned that the local administration and the people’s representatives should take immediate action to solve the water problem or else there will be a big agitation from the villagers.
