Pune | As per Rule 198 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, instructions have been issued to two-wheeler vehicle distributors to provide two helmets to customers at the time of purchasing a new motorcycle. This information was conveyed by Deputy Regional Transport Officer Swapnil Bhosale through a press release.
Customers purchasing a new two-wheeler vehicle should obtain helmets from the distributors, as informed by Mr. Bhosale. He further stated that if two-wheeler riders use helmets while riding, it will help reduce the number of deaths caused by accidents. Therefore, it is essential for both the rider and the passenger to wear helmets that meet road safety standards.
