Bhor-Mandhardevi Ghat Road Closed Until 5th January
Order of In-charge District Officer Santosh Patil

Bhor : The road connecting Kappurvhol-Bhor-Mandhardevi will remain closed until 5th January due to ongoing road work, in light of the upcoming Shri Kaalubai Devi pilgrimage at Mandhardevi (Tal. Wai). The closure order was issued by the Acting District Collector Santosh Patil.
The road widening and cementing work on the Bhor-Mandhardevi road is currently underway. This work has been causing traffic disruptions, and following the request from the Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department, South Division, the road will be closed as per the district collector’s directive. Traffic has been diverted to alternative routes.
The Shri Kaaleshwari Devi pilgrimage at Mandhardevi will be held from 12th January to 29th January. A large number of devotees from across the state visit during this period. Many devotees, particularly for the Darshan of Kaaleshwari Devi, travel through Bhor and Ambade via the Ambadkhand Ghat. Currently, road widening and cementing work is ongoing on the Bhor-Mandhardevi road.
Much of the road in question is in poor condition, and safety measures have not been implemented in the ghat section. The road is heavily used by vehicles, and the Ambadkhand Ghat remains a single-lane road up to the Mandhardevi starting point. Road work has not yet been completed from the starting point to the middle section of the ghat.
New road construction is underway in the middle of the ghat, with traffic being allowed on one side. However, this section is prone to traffic congestion, and due to the lack of safety railings, there is a risk of accidents, which led to the closure of the road.
