दक्षिण काश्मीरमधील शोपियान जिल्ह्यात सुरक्षा जवान आणि दहशतवाद्यांमध्ये चकमक सुरु असून दोन दहशतवादी ठार करण्यात आले आहेत. शुक्रवारी सकाळी दारगाड सुगन परिसरात ही चकमक सुरु झाली होती. अद्यापही चकमक सुरु आहे. भारतीय लष्कराने परिसराला चारही बाजूने घेरलं असून दोन दहशतवादी लपले असल्याची शक्यता आहे. मिळालेल्या माहितीनुसार, शोपियानमधील सुगान परिसरात भारतीय लष्कराच्या राष्ट्रीय रायफल्स (आरआर), सीआरपीएफ आणि एसओजीने मिळून ऑपरेशन सुरु केलं आहे.

याआधी गुरुवारी बारामुला जिल्ह्यातील सोपोरमधील डांगरपोरा येथे चकमकीत भारतीय जवानांनी दोन दहशतवाद्यांना ठार केलं होतं. यावेळी काही दहशतवादी अडकले होते. तसंच बुधवारी सुरक्षा दलांकडून शोपियान जिल्ह्यातील पिंजूरा गावात सुरु असलेल्या मोहिमेविरोधात हिंसा भडकली होती. यामध्ये निदर्शन करणाऱ्या एका व्यक्तीचा मृत्यू झाला होता तर २० जण जखमी झाले होते.
