Big step of CM! 4 lakh each to the relatives of the dead covid patients at Chiplun

Mumbai: Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has announced financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each to the relatives of 8 covid patients who died due to floods in July last year at Aparant Hospital in Chiplun. This assistance will be provided from the State Disaster Response Fund. This humane step taken by the Chief Minister has brought great relief to the relatives of the deceased Kovid patients.

Due to the floods on July 21 and 22, 2021, 8 Kovid patients died at the Corona Center of Aparant Hospital. After that, the Chief Minister had requested the Ratnagiri District Collector to provide financial assistance to the relatives of the deceased. Taking note of this request, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray announced this financial assistance to the relatives of the deceased Kovid patients as a special matter from a humanitarian point of view.

After the death of 8 Kovid patients in Chiplun, the Maharashtra Times had from time to time broadcast news about the financial crisis that had befallen their families, highlighting their family situation. Taking note of these reports, the district administration had tried to help. Since then, the Chief Minister has announced this financial assistance.

The Deputy Secretary to the State Government has informed the District Collector of Ratnagiri about this assistance. Relatives of 8 crore patients who died of coronary heart disease on July 21, 2021 and July 22, 2021 were requested to receive this financial assistance from the Chief Minister’s Assistance Fund as a special humanitarian matter. According to the letter sent by the Deputy Secretary to the District Collector of Ratnagiri, it has been approved to provide assistance of Rs 4 lakh each to the relatives of the deceased Corona patients. Also, as per the request made by the District Collector of Ratnagiri, a copy of the District Collector’s letter has been submitted to the Chief Minister’s Assistance Fund for further action, the secretary said.
