After 6-hour wait, Arvind Kejriwal files his nomination for Delhi Assembly Election

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal finally filed his nomination papers. Nearly for six hours he was waiting in the queue. The Delhi Assembly Election to be conducted on February 8.

Kejriwal who is contesting the polls from the New Delhi Assembly seat, had arrived at the District Magistrate’s office at Jamnagar House at around 12:30 pm to file his nomination papers, with today being the last day for filing.

Kejriwal waited in queue after he was given token number 45. The Aam Aadmi Party blamed the BJP for trying to hatch a conspiracy and delay the AAP national convenor’s nomination.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and AAP leader Manish Sisodia tweeted today. He says, the BJP would not be able to prevent the Delhi CM from filing his nomination how hard its leaders might try. Earlier, AAP MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj had claimed that attempts were being made to make Delhi CM wait to file his nomination. your conspiracy will never succeed, Sisodia wrote on Twitter.
