Pimpri Chinchwad : Traffic Diversion Orders for New Year’s Eve and New Year

To prevent traffic congestion due to the influx of tourists’ vehicles in the Pawan Nagar area on December 31st and the beginning of the New Year, and to maintain law and order, District Collector Dr. Suhas Divekar has issued orders for traffic changes from midnight on December 30th until midnight on December 31st.

Light four-wheeled vehicles coming from the Pune-Mumbai-Kamshet side towards Pawan Nagar market will be diverted. These vehicles will be redirected from the Yelase Gram Panchayat junction to the left towards Shivli (towards Kothurne), and then right at the Kothurne-Malvandi junction, continuing straight through Brahmanoli, proceeding via Brahmanoli Phata onto Jawaan Road towards Fangane, Thakur Sai, Khadak Gevande, Jawan, Chavsar, Morve, and Tung. However, vehicles coming from Pawan Nagar, Kalegaon, Ambegaon, Shindgaon, Pale, Ghamandhara, and Dudhivare, as well as heavy vehicles, will be allowed to continue.

Vehicles coming from the Yelase Gram Panchayat junction will be diverted left to Shivli (towards Kothurne), then to Kothurne village, left at the Malvandi junction towards Brahmanoli, and proceed straight through Waru Phata and Brahmanoli Phata onto the Jawaan road, which will be one-way.

Local residents from Brahmanoli, Waru, Kothurne, and Shivli will be prohibited from coming towards Yelase. Alternate routes will be provided via Waru Phata, Brahmanoli Phata, Pavana River Bridge, Kalegaon Phata, and Pavana Market, leading to Yelase, Kamshet.

From December 30, 2024, to January 1, 2025, in order to avoid traffic congestion in Pawan Nagar Market, vehicles will be diverted away from the market area. Instead, traffic will be rerouted through the old rest house road, via Kedar Khanawal Chowk, continuing straight ahead towards Sat Number Colony, Patrachal Secretariat, and the Gram Panchayat building as a detour. However, heavy vehicles from Brahmanoli, Kalegaon, and Dudhivare will be redirected to Pawan Nagar Market towards Yelase.

From midnight on January 1, 2025, vehicles heading towards Pawan Nagar and Kamshet from Tung, Gaurave, Chavsar, Jawan, Khadak Gevande, Thakur Sai, and Fangane will be prohibited. They will instead be diverted through Brahmanoli Phata, taking a right at Waru Phata, continuing straight to Malvandi, left at Kothurne Phata, then left towards Kothurne village, and right towards Shivli (Yelase side) to the Yelase Gram Panchayat junction, continuing towards Mumbai, Pune, and Kamshet. However, vehicles from Pawan Nagar, Kalegaon, Ambegaon, Shindgaon, Dudhivare, and other heavy vehicles will be allowed.

Alternative Routes for Pawan Nagar Market:

1. Local residents from Charu and Brahmanoli will be directed towards the Padhna River Bridge.
2. Vehicles from Kale Phata-Pawna Market area will be diverted via Waru Phata-Malvandi, and Kothurne junction towards the Pawan Nagar market.
3. From midnight on January 1st, traffic will be one-way from Brahmanoli Phata towards Waru Phata, proceeding straight to Malvandi, and Kothurne junction, left to Kothurne village, then right to Shivli (towards Yelase), continuing to the Yelase Gram Panchayat junction.
