शिक्षक आणि शिक्षकेतर कर्मचाऱ्यांनाही आता सातवा वेतन आयोग लागू होणार आहे. केंद्र सरकारने यासंबंधीचा प्रस्ताव मंजूर केला आहे. यासाठी केंद्राच्या तिजोरीवर १ हजार २४१ कोटींचा भार पडणार आहे. मात्र, याचा लाभ राज्यातील २९ हजार शिक्षकांना तर खासगीतल्या ३ लाख शिक्षकांना मिळणार आहे. त्याचबरोबर देशातील पदवी स्तरावरील तांत्रिक शैक्षणिक संस्थांमधील शिक्षकांनाही याचा लाभ मिळणार आहे.

Central govt has approved proposal to extend the 7th Central Pay Commission to the teachers and other academic staff of the state govt/ govt aided degree level technical institution in the country, which will have additional Central Govt liability of Rs 1241.78 crore.
