मेहुल चोक्सीला भारतात आणण्यासाठी एअर अॅम्ब्युलन्स पाठवू, ईडीची कोर्टात माहिती
सक्तवसुली संचालनालयाने (ईडी) मुंबईच्या पीएमएलए कोर्टात पंजाब नॅशनल बँक (पीएनबी घोटाळ्यातील फरार प्रमुख आरोपींपैकी एक मेहुल चोक्सीविरोधात प्रतिज्ञापत्र सादर केले आहे. यामध्ये म्हटले आहे की, आरोग्याचे कारण देत चोक्सीने चौकशीसाठी भारतात येण्यास वारंवार टाळाटाळ केली आहे. त्यामुळे त्याला अँटिगुवा येथून भारतात आणण्यासाठी आम्ही एअर अँब्युलन्स पाठवण्यासही तयार आहोत, यामध्ये वैद्यकीय तज्ज्ञ मंडळी असतील. त्याचबरोबर चोक्सीला भारतात सर्व प्रकारच्या आवश्यक वैद्यकीय सुविधा देखील पुरवण्यात येतील.

ईडीने प्रतिज्ञापत्रात पुढे म्हटले की, मेहुल चोक्सीने तपासामध्ये कधीही सहकार्य केलेले नाही. त्याच्याविरोधात अजामीनपात्र वॉरंट काढण्यात आले आहे. इंटरपोलने त्याच्याविरोधात रेड कॉर्नर नोटीसही काढली आहे. मात्र, तरीही त्याने परत येण्यास मनाई केली आहे. त्यामुळेच त्याला फरार घोषीत करण्यात आले आहे.

Enforcement Directorate informs a Mumbai court that it is willing to provide an air ambulance with medical experts to bring Mehul Choksi from Antigua to India and provide him all necessary treatment in India.

Enforcement Directorate in its affidavit in a Mumbai court states, “He (Mehul Choksi) never cooperated in investigation. Non bailable warrant was issued against him. A Red Notice was issued by the Interpol. He has refused to return, he is therefore, a fugitive and an absconder.”
